Has anyone got a 22 revolver for sale?. 4 or 6inch barrel? I am in Lake County. Its just going to be a plinking gun so not worried about looks but must be in 100% working condition. |

I love the Ruger Single Six, but they are pricey. My wife just bought a Heritage Rough Rider for about $215 (including shipping and FFL transfer). It came with a .22 mag cylinder as well. It has a 6 or 6.5" barrel and is ridiculously accurate. The fit and finish aren't great, but it's a cheap option for a plinker. |

Frank - Jpryor is "spot on". I also have a 6" Single Six (aka "Convertible") that I have used for plinking and hunting for over 15 years. If my dogs found a rabbit and didn't bust it out (make it run), I could pop it in the head and not mess up the meat. Same for squirrels that got too close to use the shotgun.
Being single action, it is also safer for a novice shooter as you must cock the hammer back for every shot.
Good luck in your search. Happy shooting! |
