I just use goldenrods in all my safes, dehumidifiers don't actually dehumidify, I don't care what they say Wink

If you haven't discovered renaissance wax, that should be a #1 priority.

Get a digital hygrometer and place it in your safe, then determine whether or not you need to control humidity. I have had my Winchester safe from Sam's Club for 3 years and the humidity has never exceeded 50%. If you find that it gets over 60%, then a device such as a "Goldenrod" that raises the temp in the safe is the best choice.

That's probably not a bad idea, I just have 4 large safes alone so I just bought them and closed my eyes.

Don't however overlook the wax, put it on EVERYTHING!
This is what all the museums use. You can handle and put away and not constantly have to oil and whip.
