I called this morning. Makes me sick.
If I move from this state, this might be the year I do it. |

I listened to that vote last night from start to finish.
What a scary, uninformed group of politicians.
The ramifications of that bill are staggering.
We can only hope that when this comes to a full vote there are more level headed people making decisions and truly understand what they are voting on.
Those last night did not have a clue nor a concrete answer when they were asked.
The NRA people did a great job trying to talk a little sense to some of them. |

Call your reps. Click on the link. Find their name. If your on your smart phone, click the phone number and it'll call for you. Can't make it any easier. Takes 5 min.
Here are all the state senators

Same deal. Click and call
From what I've seen, the anti 2A bills being put out there are complete garbage. I don't know what made it out of committee last night and with what wording, but some of the original texts had targeted not just semi auto, but also pump action and lever action firearms as well. I think I heard the term "pump action military style shot gun." I also heard that there would be no grandfather clause in one incarnations wording, where another had registration of existing firearms meeting their "assault weapon" criteria. Also they wanted no 10+ rd mags, no grandfathering. It seems like they're just gonna throw whatever they can at the wall and see what sticks.
I know one thing, im not getting rid of or registering a damn thing!

Well, they pulled both HB's 815 and 1263 due to lack of support. But they will be back up for consideration. I called 3 reps and four senators and am still looking for people to bug. Flood Antonio Munoz's voice mail. He is behind 1263. Guy was 82nd airborne. He should know better. |

I have called and emailed. Both will help.
Last I saw, just a few minutes ago they have postponed the vote for this session..
Looks like we may have stopped it for a short time. |

As we all know, this will come up again after the new people are sworn in later this week. It might be advisable to type up a short script (or 2) and keep it by the phone so you have some sort of "crib sheet" to work from when you call. This will also help us stay cool and on track and not get too "soapboxy" with whatever poor schlep has to answer the phone.
Just a thought. |
