This column was in both the Sunday 12/2/12 issue of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Belleville News-Democrat also had a shorter "edited" version.
With the cards stacked against one part of our society by people like this, how do you overcome this level of "brain-washing" in our kids?

While taking a history class at Joliet Jr. College, I had a teacher on our first day of class numerous times refer to his sex life, and make sexual comments in general throughout the class, ask if there were any "killers" in the room in reference to veterans and military personel, and then procede to tell the class that although there are things worth dieing for, nothing was worth killing for. He also said he was a pacifist and went on to praise pasifism several times in the class. All this in the first day. As an Iraq vet, an infantryman at that, I was livid. Dropped after the first day and reported him to the school.
