well i just got done refinishing and staining my mosin stock, 3 coats of minwax golden oak 210b on my laminated stock. now i just need to clear it, however i cannot decide which way to go. birchwood casey tru oil, boiled linseed oil, minwax polyurethane, polycrylic... i just took back some polyurethane and switched out for some polycrylic, but after being on the interwebs even more i just dont know. i may just suck it up and use the polycrylic i already have here, any suggestions? Question

really shoulda put this in the care/maintenance sub forum :/

It is according to what you are looking for in a finish. If you want the hand rub look go with the oil, but if you want a thicker type finish, I myself would probably go with the Minwax satin polyurathane. To me i like the satin look over the high gloss, and I prefer the oil base over the poly, as I believe it goes into the wood better.
