I recently got into geocaching, and so I need a handheld GPS. |

You looking to buy new or previously owned? |

Have you tried the app for a smart phone? I downloaded one, but have not tried it. I'm not into geocaching, I just downloaded it to play with it. Haven't tried it yet. Just wondering if you have/was it any good?

I tried geocaching. Pulled up a couple caches online, put in the lat/long on my Garmin and headed out. Hiked in circles for an hour at each location and found nothing so I said f#@$ it.
I still use my GPS for long hiking trips though. |

I don't have a smart phone. I'd rather spend the $360-$480 a year on ammo than on data service. |

Me neither. Again, if we started texting then we'd probably do it alot, so we'd need to get the unlimited packaged. This would be $30/month for us, i.e. $360 a year! That's almost 4 Mosin-Nagants, no thanks, I'll keep my money. |

I've got a etrex vista, if I can find it....got anything to trade?
I got it for geocaching too, but my phone does much better.
I have the mapsource CDs for entire u.s. And a USB to serial adapter for transferring data. |

Me either.....I swapped a rc boat for it two years ago.
I believe the mapping software is the pricey part....it's pretty cool, you can search caches right from the software, and send it to the GPS.
I gotta check my boat bin,.and see if I left it in there.

That's the GPS....
Software is up there too.....I'll take care of ya though.
Not really sure what I'd like in a trade....boom stuff maybe, reloading stuff?
Here's what I have, maybe you have parts, accessories, etc
