According to this calendar:

http://www.ilga.gov/house/schedules/May_2011.pdf

the legislative assembly is in session until the end of the month. Hopefully, the deadline for this bill will be extended and a better outcome will be realized.

The general assembly needs to be disassembled!!

I would have to agree with you Armed. I would hope that they will allow this to come up for another vote. One that maybe we wont have 20 people that didnt vote.

It isn't over yet! We have to find out if it will come back up for a vote. Find who the 20 cowards were. Find the flip floppers. I am at a loss for words. I was certain this would pass today.

I'm so mad I could punch babies!!!!!

Just heard a newsroom rumor that it may be heard again tonight once they pry those 20 out of the men's room.

This state is rediculous. I can not understand what those 30 or so No voters think is going to happen. 48 other states trust that their citizens can handle themselves, do our elected officials think that the people of Illinois are not to be trusted?

I sure hope that it comes to a vote again and something changes between now and then.

it is simply astonishing the contempt these politicians have, that they feel they can judge better on their own accord what the people really want and how little value they place on our lives and security. "of the people for the people".......seems to be more of a punchline in this state than a doctrine.

Moving out of State. I hope Quinn can figure out how to replace the $18K in property taxes I won't be paying. [/b]

Wow, I saw this one coming last year! Hate to say it and I know you all don't want to hear it... Its not going to happen in this state. Not until you remove the democrat machine from Chicago. Sorry, but this state isn't worth the fight anymore.

Good by Illinois. Less than 300 days and counting!
