Hello All,
Has anyone OC'ed in Oconto or Shawano counties (NW of Green Bay)?
I'm thinking of creating a form letter that we could send to all WI County Sherriffs, getting their position on OC "on the record".
I live in Suring and I'm planning on OC'ing here soon, after I measure out the extent of the School Zone. The main drag here is very short and just about ALL within the 1000 foot zone, but the outskirts look far enough away.

Holy Crap I thought it was you!
Love your avatar picture.
A quick question for you: Do you have a copy of your case in Word or PDF format? I am trying to get all the pertinent cases for fanny pack/case transporting put together in one spot.
Thanks,
-Ty |

That would be nice. I just thought it would help anyone that is in the fellowship, like I am, in case they have any sort of legal case. I'm sure a good lawyer could find the pertinent cases, but I thought having them all ready to go would just help out. |

I'll have to get in touch with my cousin....her husband is a copper for one of the towns up near green bay.
Matter of fact, he might actually work for Shawano. |

Thanks CK. I want to put together any material I can to help others take the step to container transporting (the new term for fanny pack carrying because fanny packs are so 1990 and carrying gave some users here the idea that it meant the firearm was loaded). |

Once you are in a parking lot owned by a business, you are good to go so long as you stay off of the sidewalk. |

You mention the sidewalks is this because of a school zone and if your on private property it is ok to be in a school zone? Otherwise as long as your not in a school zone, or an establishment that serves alcohol or a govt. building then you are fine to open carry right? |

That's pretty much correct, Matt. The other exception is in a vehicle. You CANNOT open carry in a vehicle. |

Ok yeah I knew about the vehicle part. I was wondering because it seems that most people that try open carry in WI are doing it at stores. I might oc if I go to say downtown Lake Geneva and walk around. I would when I go camping at WI state parks but I see you cant do that. I do spend time at private campgrounds so that would work. |
