Just across the state border, residents cleaned up this Beloit park as part of an open carry event. Participants wore their guns outside of their clothes where they're visible, all while raising awareness about conceal and carry.
“Illinois and Wisconsin are the only two states left in the country that don’t allow you to conceal and carry a pistol for your own protection,” says Icarry.org Executive Director Shaun Kranish.
Participants hope conceal and carry will be law in Illinois and Wisconsin in the near future.
