80-year old man safe from evil guns now?
So, I wonder if they took this guy's gun and saved him from possibly shooting himself accidentally or committing suicide with the evil pistols. On top of that -- did he have a FOID card? Maybe miraculously the cops spared him from prosecution by not arresting him for that. Hopefully these two guns have been taken "off the streets" and are safely in the hands of the government now. Who knows what kind of civil havoc 2 pistols could have wrought.

The real question though, is where do these two 11-year old girls get off by telling the cops this man chased them with a pistol? Did they know somehow that he had a pistol and this was their way of reporting him? Are they being good little tattletales for the government?

WILMETTE -- An 80-year-old Wilmette man was cited for violating the village's handgun ban after police found a semi-automatic pistol and a revolver in one of his dresser drawers, authorities said Friday.

The criminal citation issued to Fred Lang, who lives in the 1300 block of Elmwood Avenue, stemmed from an Aug. 24 incident when two 11-year-old girls rang his doorbell and ran away, police said. The girls told their parents that Lang had chased them down the street, holding what appeared to be a gun, police said.

The parents called authorities. Officers went to Lang's house, and although he denied chasing the girls with a gun, he admitted that he had two guns in his dresser, police said.

When questioned again by officers, the girls retracted their story about Lang chasing them with a gun, police said.
